Memory 23

Negative Trivial: "Charcoal Boy"
Won: Day 133
Game: 50 status effect pile up

Summary
Tan, Kim, and Laura are taking a short rest in the forest. Tan is playing with a small flame between his fingers, still a little amazed that he's capable of this.

Kim, however, is thumbing through a pretty thick book - the cover reads "Kanji Dictionary", not that he has any clue what kanji are - and murmuring some stuff to herself as she pauses on a couple pages. Mostly just saying this or that doesn't fit at all, though she glances up at him briefly when she hits "this one says it means daybreak"... and then nopes and keeps going.

But then she eventually stops with delight, having found what she's looking for. She then comes over to Tan, telling him to look at what she's pointing at in the book. Which he does, and it looks like a bunch of random lines to him, but she's convinced it says "tan". Or at least, can be read as "tan". And it apparently means "charcoal".

"So I'm gonna call you Charcoal Boy from now on~" When Tan asks her why, she just says it's because it fits with his whole fire thing.

She seems very proud of herself. Laura just silently giggles under her hand a little.

What He Learns
☼ That's why she calls him "Charcoal Boy"
☼ ...Kim continues to be weeeeiiiird.

Notes
For reference: charcoal (and daybreak, which I really just find amusing that it's a thing).

Kim, meanwhile, is in the 13 year old fangirl phase of her life. Just as a reminder.
